BLS HEALTHCARE PROVIDER COURSE  
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. 

 HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CPR AED 

The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Upon successful completion of the course, including a first aid skills demonstration and a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

 ​HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC FIRST AID CPR AED 
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers child/infant CPR, child/infant AED, child/infant choking, and pediatric first aid. Adult modules in CPR, AED and choking are optional. The modular classroom-based course is designed to be flexible. 

 Within the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course, Instructors can teach any of the following combinations: 

  1. Pediatric First Aid 
  2. Child CPR AED, Infant CPR, Pediatric First Aid 
  3. Child CPR AED, Infant CPR, Adult CPR AED, Pediatric First Aid 
  4. Child CPR AED, Infant CPR 
  5. Child CPR AED, Infant CPR, Adult CPR AED


 ​FAMILY & FRIENDS CPR ANYTIME 
Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. . Course Content: The Family & Friends CPR program teaches: • Adult Hands-Only™ CPR• Adult AED use• Child CPR • Infant CPR• Adult, child and infant relief of choking. Family & Friends CPR is a classroom-based course that can be taught by an AHA Instructor or led by a facilitator (a community member, family member or friend) who wishes to pass on lifesaving CPR skills to others. This course is video-led and includes skills practice throughout. Course topics can be presented together or taught separately as stand-alone modules. Following are approximate times for each module:

• Adult CPR/AED/Choking: about 25 minutes
• Child CPR/AED/Choking: about 35 minutes
• Infant CPR/Choking: about 30 minutes

 BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN
This course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: • Correctional Officers • Childcare workers • Security guards • Maintenance workers • School personnel • Hotel Housekeepers • Health and fitness club staff • Tattoo artists. AHA’s course uses the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and slogan, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act,” to help students learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training. Students learn how to:
•  Protect themselves from exposure to bloodborne pathogens
•  Act when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace
•  Clean themselves and the area when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace
•  Tell or report any exposure to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplaceType your paragraph here.
